Within 3 minutes of towelling off. Pat — don't fully dry. Damp skin pulls the lotion 40% deeper than dry skin and the scent sets into the lipid layer.

Massage upward — knees, elbows, neck, shoulders. Long strokes follow lymphatic drainage and never stretch the skin downward. Smaller circles on hands and feet.

60 seconds. The vanilla opens; the shea seals. Dressing too fast wipes both layers off before they finish their work.

Most vanilla in beauty smells synthetic — like cake batter. Madagascan vanilla beans, properly extracted, smell smoky and warm. That's the difference.
We use vanilla planifolia from Sambava, Madagascar — the same region that supplies high-end pastry kitchens in Paris. The pods are cured for nine months before extraction.
Tonka bean handles the warmth, sandalwood carries the longevity. The result is a vanilla that wears like skin, not dessert.
In this lotion, the scent locks into the lipid layer within three minutes of moisturising. Step two of the Cleanse Ritual — Skin Lock, where the heart notes anchor for the long wear.

When we launched the vanilla family in 2021, the easy path was compound naturals — naturally derived but reconstituted. We chose single-origin instead.

Non-comedogenic, glycerin-led, sinks in under 30 seconds. No silicone occlusion — your skin won't feel film-y by 4pm. I'm combination-oily and have been on this for two seasons.
