Build something
meant to outlast us.
We are a small, intentional team building India's house of body and scent. If you care about craft, formulation, and the way a bottle is held — we would like to meet you.
We hire for conviction, not credentials.
The team is small. Every role is visible. Every decision is debated. Most of us came from much larger rooms and left to make work that could be felt, not only measured.
Six things we believe about good work.
Not posters on a wall. The actual rules — how we choose what to ship, who to hire, and when to say no.
Work is visible
Every role on this team is in the room. No hidden hierarchy, no decisions made in side rooms. If you're building it, you're at the table.
Craft over velocity
We launch four products a year, not forty. Whatever you ship, you ship well. We'd rather miss a season than ship something that wasn't ready.
The customer knows
Every quarter, every team member spends two days on customer-care duty. You read the emails. You hear the calls. The customer's voice stays loud.
Strong opinions, loose hold
Have the position. Argue for it. Then change your mind when the evidence does. We hire people who can do both.
Long, slow, deliberate
We optimise for tenure. Average team member has been here 4.2 years. We don't burn people out and we don't churn talent — both are signs of a broken system.
Build like founders
Every full-time hire after Year 1 gets equity. The team owns 8% of the company. Your decisions matter because your stake matters.
Pay. Time. And actual care.
Equity for all
Every full-time hire vests over 4 years.
Health + dental
Full medical for you + 2 dependants. Tata AIG, no deductibles.
Unlimited products
Whatever's in the catalogue, plus first dibs on every R&D batch.
Learning fund
₹60K/year, no approval needed. Course, book, conference, anything.
Hybrid by design
Office Tue-Thu in Mumbai or Ambala. Work-from-home Mon + Fri.

Senior Cosmetic Chemist
+
Build the next generation of TLC body care — wash, lotion, mist, scrub — across our Cleanse Ritual and Scent Trail ranges.
About the role
You'll join our R&D lab in Ambala and own end-to-end formulation for new SKUs. You'll work directly with our fragrance partners and founder on scent-formula compatibility, and with our Head of Operations on scale-up to GMP production. Every formula you ship will be in the hands of 100,000+ ritualists within a quarter.
What you'll do
- Develop new cosmetic formulations across body wash, lotion, body mist, scrub, oil and butter categories
- Translate scent briefs from the perfumer into compatible aqueous and emulsion bases
- Run stability, compatibility and dermatological pre-screen trials
- Specify and source raw materials with QC
- Author full batch records and SOPs for production scale-up
- Mentor 2 junior chemists and support them through their first solo launches
What you'll bring
- M.Sc / B.Tech in cosmetic chemistry, biotechnology or chemical engineering
- 5+ years hands-on formulation in a personal-care or cosmetic R&D lab
- Deep familiarity with surfactant systems, emulsions, preservation, and pH-sensitive actives
- Track record of at least 6 SKUs that made it from bench to shelf
- Comfort writing detailed SOPs, COAs, and stability protocols
Nice to have
- Experience with fragrance-led formulation (working from a perfumer's brief)
- Familiarity with Indian regulatory framework (BIS, CDSCO cosmetic rules)
- Prior work in a GMP-certified facility
What we offer
Equity from day one. Full medical for you + 2 dependants. Direct mentorship from our founders and senior operators. The chance to put your name on formulas that will be in a million bathrooms.

Junior Cosmetic Chemist
+
Start your career in cosmetic chemistry inside one of India's most respected personal-care R&D labs.
About the role
This is a hands-on, learn-on-the-bench role. You'll shadow our senior chemists on every project, run stability trials, manage the raw-materials library, and gradually take ownership of your own formulations. Within 18 months you'll have your first product on shelf.
What you'll do
- Assist senior chemists in developing and trialling new formulations
- Run stability, viscosity, pH and microbial-load tests on samples
- Maintain the raw-materials inventory and request samples from vendors
- Document every trial with full traceability
- Support pilot batches in the production facility
What you'll bring
- B.Sc / M.Sc in chemistry, biotechnology or cosmetic science
- Strong fundamentals in lab technique and chemical safety
- Hunger to learn formulation hands-on — willingness to spend the first 6 months mostly observing and assisting
- Detail-oriented documentation
What we offer
Structured 12-month mentorship. Equity in the company. A clear path to Senior Chemist within 4 years. Direct exposure to a working perfumer's process.

Head of Digital Marketing
+
Own the full digital marketing function — performance, brand, CRM and SEO — and scale TLC from 1M to 5M ritualists.
About the role
You'll lead a team of 4 (performance lead, content lead, SEO specialist, CRM manager) and report directly to the founder. The brand is loved but underexposed — your job is to fix that without breaking what makes it loved. We do not optimise for unprofitable growth.
What you'll do
- Own the full digital P&L: ROAS, CAC, LTV, blended CAC across paid and organic
- Set and run the always-on performance marketing program across Meta, Google, YouTube, Amazon Ads, and Quick Commerce
- Lead brand campaigns 2-3 times a year — from concept through media plan to performance recap
- Build the CRM engine: email, WhatsApp, SMS, retention cohorts
- Own the SEO roadmap with the content lead — we publish 4 long-form pieces a month
- Hire and grow the team — we expect 2 more hires in the next 12 months
What you'll bring
- 7+ years across performance + brand marketing, ideally in DTC beauty, fashion or luxury
- Hands-on craft: you can still log into Meta Business Manager and build a campaign, not just review reports
- Demonstrable record of scaling a brand from ₹50Cr to ₹200Cr+ ARR, profitably
- Comfort with data — you should be able to write your own queries against our analytics warehouse
- Strong taste — you can argue for the brand line, not just the conversion line
Nice to have
- Prior experience hiring a 4+ person marketing team
- Comfort presenting at the board level
- Existing relationships with India's top creative agencies
What we offer
Material equity. Direct partnership with the founder on strategic decisions. The brand to do the best work of your career on. Healthy budget — we believe in spending on what works.

Performance Marketing Lead
+
Own the performance marketing engine end-to-end — Meta, Google, Amazon, Quick Commerce — and hit the profitability targets.
About the role
You'll be the operator running paid acquisition day-to-day. We're not looking for someone who hands work to an agency. We want a builder who lives inside the ad accounts, knows what's working at the creative level, and can argue for both ROAS and the brand.
What you'll do
- Build and manage the full paid roster: Meta, Google Search, YouTube, Performance Max, Amazon Ads, Blinkit / Zepto / Swiggy Instamart ads
- Brief and produce 30+ creatives a month with the content team
- Run weekly P&L reviews against blended CAC and contribution-margin targets
- Build and maintain creative-testing frameworks, audience cohorts, conversion-API setups
- Spot trends — both bullish and broken — and recommend response within 24 hours
What you'll bring
- 3-6 years running paid media spend of at least ₹50L/month
- Strong opinions on creative — you know what makes an ad work, not just what to bid on
- Fluent in attribution: GA4, Triple Whale, in-platform reporting, MMM basics
- Comfort writing SQL or working with our data team to pull your own numbers
What we offer
Equity. A real budget. Direct ownership of a P&L. The freedom to test, fail, and iterate without 14 layers of approval.

Brand Designer (Senior)
+
Shape every visual the brand puts into the world — packaging, digital, retail, social. The taste-keeper.
About the role
The brand has a strong aesthetic spine — italic serifs, gold-deep, dark/cream rhythm, Maison-style restraint. You'll inherit it, evolve it carefully, and apply it across every surface. Think Aesop's design discipline meets a Mumbai house's warmth.
What you'll do
- Design packaging for new launches end-to-end — bottle, label, carton, regulatory artwork
- Art-direct campaign visuals across digital, OOH and print 2-3 times a year
- Maintain and evolve the brand system — typography, colour, photography style
- Design the e-commerce experience hand-in-hand with the front-end team — PDPs, collection pages, landing pages
- Brief illustrators, photographers, retouchers and manage them to deliverable
What you'll bring
- 5+ years as a brand or packaging designer at a respected studio or in-house
- A portfolio with at least 4 packaging projects you owned end-to-end
- Sharp typography — you should be able to draw a hairline gold rule that looks like Vogue's
- Comfort across Figma, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign
- Quiet self-direction — we want someone who shows three options without being asked
Nice to have
- Editorial design background
- Comfort with motion (After Effects basics)
What we offer
Equity. A small, taste-driven team. A founder who actually has design opinions and engages. Trade shows, factory visits, Grasse trips — we believe designers should see the things they're designing for.
Creative · Brand
Junior Brand Designer
+
Apprentice with one of India's most disciplined brand teams.
About the role
Hands-on craft role. You'll execute across digital and print under direct mentorship from our seniors. Within 18 months you'll own your first packaging line.
What you'll do
- Produce social, email, web and print assets to brand standard
- Support packaging projects with mock-ups and dieline preparation
- Maintain the design system files and asset library
- Sit in on every brief — taste develops by being in the room
What you'll bring
- 1-3 years experience or a strong student portfolio
- Fluent Figma + Adobe CC
- Real interest in typography and editorial design
- Care about the small things
What we offer
Mentorship from seniors who've worked at Wieden+Kennedy, Pentagram alumni, and the country's best independent studios. Equity. A clear growth path.
Operations · Customer
Customer Care Manager
+
Lead the team that is the voice of TLC to every customer — and the customer's voice back to us.
About the role
You'll lead 5 customer-care associates, own first-response times, and partner with product/ops on systemic fixes. This is not a support role; it's a craft role. Our customer-care responses are some of the best-loved touchpoints in the brand experience.
What you'll do
- Lead a team of 5 across email, WhatsApp, Instagram DMs and phone
- Hit our first-response SLA: 24 hours weekdays, 48 weekends
- Author the response playbook — voice, tone, escalation rules
- Run weekly insight reviews with product, ops and marketing
- Personally handle escalations and influential-customer cases
What you'll bring
- 4+ years leading customer-care teams in DTC, hospitality, or luxury retail
- Native-level English with a warm, considered written voice
- Hindi fluency (Tamil / Kannada / Bengali a plus)
- Comfort with Zendesk, Gorgias, Front, or similar helpdesk tools
- Data-literate — you set SLAs and hit them
What we offer
Equity. The chance to build a customer-care function that's a brand asset, not a cost centre. Direct line to product and ops decisions.
Creative · Content
Content Lead — Editorial
+
Build the TLC journal into India's most-read luxury body-care editorial — long reads, founder essays, ingredient deep-dives.
About the role
We publish 4 long-form pieces a month. They are not blog posts. They are essays in the voice of the brand — long, considered, and read end-to-end. You'll commission, edit and partly write them.
What you'll do
- Plan and run the editorial calendar — 4 long-form pieces + 12 shorter posts per month
- Write yourself (at least one long-form essay a month)
- Commission from a roster of freelancers and rotate fresh voices
- Edit ruthlessly — TLC editorial is known for restraint
- Coordinate with SEO, social, and email on cross-channel distribution
What you'll bring
- 4+ years in a senior editorial role — magazine, newsletter, or content house
- Native-level English; a writing portfolio with at least 5 long-form pieces you'd be proud to read again
- Comfort with both research-led ingredient stories and human-led brand stories
- Editorial judgment — you know when a piece isn't ready
What we offer
Equity. A real editorial budget for commissioning. A founder who reads every piece before it ships. The freedom to spend two weeks on something that takes two weeks.
Operations · Manufacturing
Production Manager
+
Run the floor at our Ambala manufacturing facility — quality, throughput, batch records.
About the role
Our Ambala factory makes every TLC product. You'll own daily production, ensure GMP compliance, and grow capacity from 100K units/month to 250K over the next 18 months without compromising quality.
What you'll do
- Daily floor operations — production planning, line balancing, raw-material flow
- Own the QC handoff with R&D and out-going-QA
- Maintain GMP certification — manage audits, batch records, deviation reports
- Lead a team of 8 production supervisors and 40 line staff
- Hit monthly throughput targets while keeping reject rates below 1.5%
What you'll bring
- 6+ years managing cosmetic, pharmaceutical or food manufacturing
- Deep GMP experience and a clean audit track record
- Comfort with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Zoho Manufacturing)
- Leadership of cross-functional shop-floor teams
- Willing to be based in Ambala 5 days a week
What we offer
Equity. Full medical for family. Housing allowance for Ambala relocation. Direct partnership with the founder on capacity decisions.
Engineering · E-commerce
Senior Full-Stack Engineer
+
Own the storefront, the checkout, and the data infrastructure of TLC's e-commerce.
About the role
Our stack: Shopify (theme + custom apps), Node.js services, BigQuery warehouse, Klaviyo for CRM. The store does ~₹6Cr a month and growing. You'll be the second engineer (the first is the founder, who'll happily get out of your way).
What you'll do
- Build and ship custom Shopify theme features (Liquid, JS, CSS)
- Architect and maintain Shopify apps in Node.js / Next.js
- Own the analytics stack — GA4, Segment, BigQuery, dbt models
- Set engineering standards as the team grows from 1 to 4 in 12 months
- Partner with marketing and brand on conversion experiments
What you'll bring
- 5+ years full-stack — JavaScript / TypeScript, React, Node.js
- Deep Shopify knowledge — Liquid, theme architecture, sections, blocks, Admin API, Storefront API
- Comfort with SQL and data pipelines
- Track record of shipping production code, not just prototypes
- Strong product judgment — you push back on bad briefs
Nice to have
- Prior DTC e-commerce experience
- Experience with Klaviyo, Yotpo, ReviewsIO integrations
- Headless commerce (Hydrogen, Next.js Commerce)
What we offer
Significant equity. Remote-first with quarterly Mumbai meetups. Direct ownership of the storefront. Hardware budget. A founder who codes and can pair when needed.
Sales · Retail
Retail Partnerships Manager
+
Open and grow TLC's offline retail presence — Nykaa Luxe, Sephora India, Shoppers Stop, Lifestyle, and key boutiques.
About the role
You'll be the relationship lead for our top 20 retail accounts. Job is half strategy (which doors to open, which to walk away from), half execution (joint business plans, visual merchandising, training BAs).
What you'll do
- Own quarterly JBPs with key accounts: Nykaa Luxe, Sephora India, Shoppers Stop Beauty Bar
- Negotiate margins, visibility, and trade terms
- Train beauty advisors on the brand story and product science
- Lead VM execution — windows, displays, GWPs, launches
- Identify and onboard 4-6 new boutique partners per year
What you'll bring
- 5+ years in retail account management — beauty, fashion or fragrance
- Existing relationships at Nykaa Luxe, Sephora India, and at least one premium department store
- Comfort with both numbers (margin maths, sell-through) and relationships (drinks with the buyer)
- Willing to travel 30% — Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata
What we offer
Equity + uncapped variable. Travel budget. Direct line to founder on retail strategy. The chance to define what luxury Indian body care looks like on shelf.
Creative · Social
Social Media Manager
+
Run Instagram, TikTok (when we launch) and YouTube. Make TLC the most beautifully shot beauty brand on Indian social.
About the role
You'll create or commission 4-6 posts per week + 2 short-form videos. Voice is editorial, considered, never thirsty. Numbers matter, but vibe matters more — we are not chasing engagement at the cost of taste.
What you'll do
- Plan and ship the social calendar across Instagram + YouTube
- Brief creators and own influencer collaborations (~6 per quarter)
- Edit short-form video (Reels, Shorts) — basic in-app cuts are fine, complex stuff goes to the video editor
- Run comment moderation + community engagement
- Report monthly on follower growth, saved-rate, share-rate, and conversion attributed
What you'll bring
- 2-4 years running Instagram for a beauty, fashion, or luxury brand
- Strong visual eye — can identify a great photo, a flat one, and a bad one
- Native-level English with a casual-but-considered voice
- Comfort in front of camera occasionally (BTS, voiceovers)
What we offer
Equity. Creative freedom — no committee for posts. The brand to do truly distinctive work on. Budget for monthly creator collaborations.
Write to us anyway.
We hire for conviction, not only credentials. If you believe in what we are building and bring something we do not yet have — make the case.
