TLC hand washes use gentle surfactant systems that cleanse bacteria from the skin surface through the mechanical action of lathering and rinsing. Most TLC hand washes are not formulated with additional antibacterial agents — proper technique (20 seconds of lathering) is more important than antibacterial claims.
No — TLC hand washes are SLS-free and formulated to be gentle with repeated daily use. The formula contains conditioning agents that counteract the effect of water and surfactant contact. Pair with TLC hand cream after each wash for optimal results.
A 2–3ml pump (roughly 2 standard pump presses) is sufficient. More does not improve cleansing — technique matters more. Lather all surfaces including between fingers, under nails, and wrists for at least 20 seconds before rinsing.
