Diffuser oil — everything you need to know
Pour the diffuser oil into your reed diffuser bottle. Insert the reeds (typically 6–10 sticks, depending on room size — more sticks = stronger throw). Flip the reeds every 5–7 days to refresh the fragrance. Replace the oil when the bottle is empty. Do not place near direct sunlight or heat sources as this can accelerate evaporation.
Diffuser life depends on room size, airflow, temperature, number of reeds and how often you flip them. Use fewer reeds for a softer scent and more reeds when you want stronger diffusion.
TLC diffuser oils are formulated for reed diffusers specifically. They are not designed for ultrasonic or heat-based diffusers. For best results use with natural rattan reeds in a wide-mouth bottle that allows airflow around the reeds. Avoid glass-stoppered bottles where the reeds have limited room to breathe.
