How Indian Climate Should Reshape Your Body Care Routine
Indian seasons are extreme enough that one routine genuinely cannot work all year. Here is how to evolve it.
Summer (March–June)
Lightweight gel lotion. AHA body wash for sweat-clogged follicles. Active body washes (salicylic acid) on chest and back. SPF on exposed skin daily.
Monsoon (July–September)
Antifungal awareness — keep skin folds dry. Lightweight lotion (heavy creams trap moisture and worsen fungal risk). Salicylic acid wash 2x a week.
Body mist shifts to fresh / aquatic notes (not heavy oud).
Autumn (October–November)
Transition phase. Increase lotion thickness gradually. Add niacinamide body lotion as climate cools and pigmentation from summer sun starts visible.
Winter (December–February)
Ceramide- and shea-led lotion. Apply within 60 seconds of shower (mandatory in winter). Overnight balm on shins and hands.
Switch to warmer mist notes — sandalwood, vanilla, oud.
Shop the body lotion collection.
