The Love Co - Calendula Petal and Hibiscus Flower Infusion

What do these bright flowers have in common? They're both full of colours, antioxidants, and soothing compounds.

Where do we get calendula and hibiscus?

We generally purchases dried flowers through a distributor. They source products from different countries depending on seasonality and stock availability.

What are their benefits for the skin?

  • Soothing
  • Astringent
  • Antibacterial
  • Antioxidant-rich
Both plants contain colouring compounds; an orange-yellow dye for calendula and a deep red for hibiscus flowers. They don't stain the skin and give our products a beautiful red colour.

Unique stories

Also known as marigold, Calendula officinalis is a staple plant in traditional and folk medicine. Carotenoids give the flower its distinct orange hue, but also have powerful antioxidant, soothing and antibacterial properties.
