How to wear it

Three gestures. Two minutes.

Three actions on damp skin. Two minutes, total. The difference between three hours and twelve. Between a scent and a scent trail.

Warm with a fingertip.

Press a fingertip into the balm for two seconds. Body heat softens the wax and lifts a fine film of oud onto your finger — no scooping, no waste.

Pro tipUse less than you think. Zeenat Al Oud is the most concentrated solid in the line — half a normal pickup is plenty.

Press onto pulse points.

Wrists, behind the ears, the dip of the collarbone. Press — never rub. Rubbing crushes the rose absolute and breaks the resin structure of the oud.

Pro tipFor weddings or formal evenings, add one press at the base of the throat. The oud throws further from thin skin.

Why Rose Oud sits at the centre of our floral world.

Rose and oud have argued with each other for a hundred years. The trick is letting the saffron mediate — and trusting Kannauj rose to hold its own against five-year-aged Assam oud.

I designed Rose Oud in 2022, after two weeks in Kannauj watching the pre-dawn rose harvest. The challenge wasn’t getting rose into the formula — the challenge was holding rose against oud without one swallowing the other. Saffron does the diplomacy.

This is the formulation I am most proud of in the TLC range. It is also the one that took the longest to get right — 14 versions over eight months. The version you are buying is V14.

In this solid perfume, body heat activates the wax base at the pulse points. Step four of the Cleanse Ritual — the pulse-point top-up that lasts hours and travels in a pocket.

Use half what you'd normally apply. Zeenat Al Oud is dense — one fingertip film on the wrists and back of the neck is plenty. You want to be noticed, not the only thing noticed.
