A kojic acid body lotion can combine moisturising with care for uneven-looking tone. It is most useful as part of a routine that also limits irritation and protects exposed skin from sunlight, rather than as an instant tan-removal promise.

What matters for this concern
Ask what keeps creating the unevenness. New breakouts, rubbing clothing, shaving irritation and unprotected sun exposure need attention in their own right. Repeatedly applying a brightening product while the trigger continues can leave you chasing the same marks. Natural differences in colour between body areas are also normal.
How to choose your next step
This lotion includes exfoliating acids as well as kojic acid, vitamin C and niacinamide, so do not treat it as an inactive moisturiser. Introduce it by itself and avoid layering other acids on the same area. If a patch is new, thickened, itchy or changing, establish the cause before trying to brighten it.

- Kojic acid
- 5% vitamin C (sodium ascorbyl phosphate)
- 5% niacinamide
- SPF 50 UV filters
- Glycolic and lactic acids
- Shea butter, vitamin E and sodium hyaluronate

Use the product as directed
Apply generously to clean, dry skin and massage gently until absorbed. Use daily. Reapply before sun exposure, and every 2 hours on long days outdoors. It contains AHAs, so don't layer another exfoliating acid on the same area.
When to pause or choose another approach
For external use only. Keep away from the eyes and face. Don't apply to broken, sunburnt or irritated skin, or right after shaving. Stop if redness, stinging or itching persists. Store below 30°C; do not freeze. Contains fragrance.
Frequently asked questions
Is brightening the same as bleaching?
The goal here is care for uneven-looking tone and texture, not changing your natural complexion.
Can I skip sunscreen because I use a brightening product?
No. Protect exposed skin with a suitable sunscreen and follow its application directions. A cleanser does not provide sun protection.
