Step 1: Shower First
Apply your body oil to clean skin. Oil applied over sweat, sunscreen, or other product residue will not absorb effectively and may create an unpleasant, mixed base for your fragrance.
Step 2: Apply Body Oil to Warm, Slightly Damp Skin
The sixty-second window after patting dry is optimal. Warm skin accepts oil more readily than cool skin, and the slight dampness creates an emulsification effect that helps lighter oils absorb more evenly. Apply in circular motions to inner wrists, inner elbows, the neck and collarbone, décolletage, and behind the knees.
Step 3: Wait Two to Three Minutes
Allow the oil to absorb until the skin is no longer visibly slick. The surface should feel soft and slightly luminous but not wet or greasy. This partial absorption is the ideal state for your EDP application — the oil has created its barrier without fully disappearing.
Step 4: Apply Your EDP
Spray from 15–20 cm away, targeting the same pulse points where you applied the oil. The EDP lands on the oil-primed surface, the fragrance molecules meet the lipid barrier, and the retention mechanism activates. Do not spray and rub — the pulse points generate their own warmth to diffuse the fragrance without any help.
The Result
Within the first hour, you will notice the EDP opening differently — slightly warmer, slightly softer on the top notes, with the heart notes emerging more gracefully. By hour four, when a standalone EDP application would have largely disappeared, the layered version is still fully present.
