Body Care During Monsoon: Preventing Fungal Infections
Indian monsoon humidity creates near-perfect conditions for fungal infections — especially in skin folds. Most are preventable with simple routine adjustments.
High-Risk Zones
Underarms, groin, between toes, under breasts, between thigh folds. All warm, humid, low-airflow areas where fungi thrive.
Daily Routine
Shower with antifungal-friendly wash (tea tree, salicylic acid). Pat dry thoroughly — moisture in folds is the primary cause.
Apply talc-free anti-friction powder in folds. Lightweight lotion only on smooth skin (not in folds).
Clothing
Cotton, breathable, loose. Change clothes immediately after getting wet. Carry a spare pair of socks during heavy monsoon — wet feet for hours = athlete's foot risk.
If Fungal Appears
Red, itchy, ring-shaped patches → over-the-counter antifungal cream (clotrimazole). 2x daily for 2 weeks even after symptoms stop.
If not improving in 2 weeks — see a doctor.
Shop the body wash range.
