5 Body Mist Application Mistakes Most Indians Make
Most fragrance complaints — 'it does not last', 'it smells different on me' — come from application errors, not the mist itself.
1. Spraying on Dry Skin
Dry skin loses fragrance fast. Always moisturise first. Damp post-shower skin gives best results.
Time difference: dry skin = 2 hours, moisturised skin = 6+ hours for the same mist.
2. Rubbing Wrists Together
Crushes molecules, accelerates evaporation. Just spray and walk away.
3. Over-Spraying
More than 4 sprays of any mist creates olfactory fatigue (you stop being able to smell it on yourself) and can overwhelm people around you.
2–3 sprays is the right starting point for almost everyone.
4. Spraying on Clothes
Alcohol stains light fabrics. Clothes absorb fragrance differently from skin and the scent reads off-balance.
Spray on skin only. Skin is the canvas.
5. Wrong Time of Day
Spraying once in the morning expecting all-day wear. Indian climate burns most fragrances off in 3–4 hours. Plan a top-up after lunch.
