What is a body mist?
A body mist is a lightly concentrated fragrance, suspended in an alcohol-and-water base, made to be sprayed generously across the whole body rather than dabbed at the wrist. Where a perfume is a statement you apply in two places, a mist is an atmosphere you step into.
The technical difference is concentration. Fine fragrance is graded by how much fragrance oil sits in the solution — and body mist deliberately sits at the bottom of that scale, which is exactly what makes it wearable every single day.

How long should a body mist last on Indian skin?
A well-built body mist should hold 4–6 hours when layered, and 8–12 hours when paired with its matching body lotion. On bare skin, in real Indian conditions, expect materially less.

Aloe juice and propylene glycol are humectants; they hold a little water at the surface so the mist does not feel drying. And the two you would not expect — avobenzone and octyl methoxycinnamate — are UV absorbers. They are not there for your skin. How do you choose the right one?
Choose by fragrance world, then by note pyramid. Never by the bottle.
A fragrance world is the family a scent belongs to — oud and amber sit in the opulent world, vanilla and sugar in the gourmand world, cherry blossom and peony in the floral world, bergamot and pear in the fresh world. How do you make it last longer?
